Mala is winner of the Pitch-Your-Pilot competition in Berlin

ReBIRTHING SAMIRA co-created by Mala has been selected as the winner of the pitch-you-pilot competition at the
2021 TV Series Berlin Festival.

Mala and her co-writer, Tara Lynn Orr pitched their series in front of top production executives to win a much coveted 15 000 EURO post-production grant from Rotor Film and mentorship from Gaumont Productions.

Instead of a mentorship, Gaumont optioned the TV series and now both writers are developing the script for the market. Exciting times (and a lot of hard work) ahead!
